We are bringing back It’s Giving! Join us for a potluck that puts away harmful Thanksgiving narratives that erase our indigenous siblings and instead come and share a meal, learn from Kansas City native, Chef Pyet DeSpain (via a special video for us) about her new cookbook, “Rooted in Fire: A Celebration of Native American and Mexican Cooking.” Thanksgiving is a week that often glosses over genocide and celebrates whiteness and this will be our chance to do it a little differently. Come learn about Chef Pyet’s roots, share a meal, enter to win Chef Pyet’s cookbook in a drawing, and have some fun!

Calling folks who are both LGBTQ and BIPOC! Kick off this amazing group on September 30 with apps from Lulu’s and community that is so needed right now.

*Note: white folks this is not the group for you. We believe that affinity groups like this are an important tool in community building and conversations can happen in that space that need to limit participation to LGBTQ BIPOC folks.
